Benefits and Compensation Associate, Multiple US Locations · Top-Tier National Law Firm

Senior associate or counsel role in employee benefits and compensation. The position involves advising employers on health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and related benefits matters. You'll work directly with in-house counsel and HR teams, managing issues driven by statutory and regulatory changes to benefits law. The practice group collaborates with corporate, labor and employment, ERISA litigation, and tax departments on cross-practice matters.

The work:

• Advising employers on health and welfare plan compliance and design
• Managing 401(k) and retirement plan matters
• Counseling on benefits and compensation issues
• Coordinating with in-house counsel and HR departments
• Collaborating across practice groups on multi-discipline matters

What they're looking for:

• Four or more years of benefits and compensation experience in law firm or consulting
• Strong analytical and communication abilities
• Top academic credentials
• Bar admission or ability to obtain admission in the applicable state
• Experience with health and welfare plans preferred
• Salary range: $200,000 to $375,000 depending on office location
