Tax Associate, New York and Washington D.C. · Magic Circle Firm

Magic Circle firm seeking a tax associate for its New York or Washington D.C. office. The position focuses on complex tax matters across M&A transactions, divestitures, private equity fund structures, and capital markets deals.

The work:

• Advising on tax treatment of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
• Structuring private equity funds and investment vehicles
• Tax analysis for capital markets transactions
• Cross-border and international tax matters
• Drafting tax opinions and client memoranda

What they're looking for:

• 3+ years of tax experience, preferably from a Big 4 firm
• Strong background in M&A taxation and private equity fund structures
• Admission to the New York or Washington D.C. bar
• JD and/or tax LL.M
• Self-directed and collaborative approach
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
