State & Local Tax Associate, Multiple US Locations · International Law Firm

Seeking a State and Local Tax attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join a leading tax practice at an international law firm. The role works on a national basis with Fortune 100 clients across multiple US offices.

The work:

• State and local tax planning and compliance for complex clients
• SALT litigation and controversy representation
• Expertise in income, franchise, sales and use, excise, and property taxes
• Legislative and policy analysis to support tax strategy
• Multi-jurisdictional planning on sophisticated matters
• Direct client collaboration and advisory work

What they're looking for:

• 3-6 years of SALT experience at a law or accounting firm
• Strong academic record and exceptional writing skills
• Client-service orientation with ability to manage independent responsibility
• Understanding of tax planning, compliance, and policy
• Collaborative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

Three days per week in-office required. Salary $260,000–$390,000, based on experience and location. Full benefits and wellness programs.
