Established AmLaw firm seeks senior attorney for compensation & benefits practice. The role centers on tax-qualified retirement plans and health & welfare arrangements under ERISA. You'll advise clients on plan design, compliance, and administration. In transactional settings, you'll identify and resolve benefit plan issues in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate deals. Your work spans drafting plan documents and disclosures, managing IRS and Department of Labor filings and audits, handling corrections, and advising on ESOP transactions and ERISA plan asset matters.

The work:

• Advise on design and administration of tax-qualified retirement and health & welfare plans
• Manage ERISA compliance and regulatory obligations
• Address benefit plan issues in M&A and transactions
• Draft plan documents and participant disclosures
• Handle IRS and DOL filings, audits, and corrections
• Advise on ESOP transactions and ERISA plan asset matters

What they're looking for:

• Minimum 6 years of employee benefits experience
• Deep knowledge of qualified retirement and welfare plans
• Experience with compliance, audits, and regulatory matters
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Advanced degree with strong academic record

Compensation: $390,000+
