International Trade Associate, Los Angeles; Orange County; San Diego · AmLaw 50 Firm

Mid-level associate opportunity at an AmLaw 50 firm with a comprehensive international trade practice. Based in Southern California with preference for Orange County, Los Angeles, or Century City offices, you'll handle complex compliance, sanctions, export controls, and foreign investment matters for multinational clients.

The work:

• Advise clients on export control compliance (EAR, ITAR) and sanctions programs (OFAC)
• Support CFIUS foreign investment reviews and related regulatory filings
• Handle customs law, trade agreements, and antidumping/countervailing duty matters
• Represent clients before Commerce, State, Treasury, Customs, and the International Trade Commission
• Draft guidance documents, compliance assessments, and regulatory correspondence

What they're looking for:

• 5-7 years of international trade law experience at a major firm or government agency
• Demonstrated expertise in at least three of: export controls, CFIUS reviews, sanctions, customs law, or trade agreements
• Strong academic background and solid written communication skills
• California bar admission in good standing
• Immediate availability preferred

Compensation $310,000–$390,000.
