Associate, Guildford · Leading Pensions Specialist

A highly regarded UK law firm with a specialist pensions practice is seeking a 1-3 PQE associate to join the Guildford office. You'll advise trustees, employers, and pension scheme providers on scheme governance, regulatory compliance, and transactional matters, working closely with partners and senior lawyers to develop deep technical expertise in this specialized area.

The work:

• Advising trustees and employers on pension scheme governance and regulatory compliance
• Supporting pensions aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence and drafting
• Drafting scheme documentation, member communications, and legal opinions
• Conducting legal research on pensions law developments and regulatory changes
• Advising on benefit structures and day-to-day scheme administration
• Participating in client meetings and contributing to practical solutions

What they're looking for:

• 1-3 years' post-qualification experience, ideally in pensions law
• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Commercial awareness and understanding of client business objectives
• Excellent drafting and communication abilities
• Proactive, organized approach to managing competing priorities
