Sacramento-based business law firm seeking tax controversy attorney to join established tax practice. Represents closely held businesses, partnerships, individuals, estates, trusts, and tax-exempt organizations.

The work:

• Federal, state, and local tax disputes and audits
• IRS audits and administrative appeals
• Tax Court proceedings and refund claims
• Drafting protests, petitions, and advocacy briefs
• Legal research and financial analysis
• Client strategy advising on controversy matters
• Administrative hearings and litigation representation

What they're looking for:

• At least 1 year of tax controversy and litigation experience
• California Bar admission
• Exceptional drafting and attention to detail
• Graduate degree in Tax or tax concentration from ABA-accredited law school (preferred)
• Team-oriented approach and collaborative mindset
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary team across practice areas
