Sovereign & Public Finance Associate, Washington DC · AmLaw 100 Firm

An AmLaw 100 firm is hiring a mid-level associate for sovereign and public finance work in Washington DC. The practice advises governments, agencies, and financial institutions on public-sector financing. Much of the work is cross-border and involves the institutions that fund development.

The work:

• Structure and document sovereign and sub-sovereign financings
• Advise on public finance transactions, including bond issuances and government-backed lending
• Work with multilateral and development finance institutions on funding arrangements
• Draft and negotiate loan and security documentation
• Coordinate with local counsel and specialists on cross-border matters

What they're looking for:

• Three to six years of finance experience, ideally with a public or sovereign element
• Strong finance drafting and transaction-management skills
• DC bar admission or eligibility to waive in
