This is a senior patent attorney position at a global law firm with established technology practice. You'll work on sophisticated patent prosecution matters across software and electrical engineering fields.

The work:

• Prosecute patent applications through the USPTO in software and technology areas
• Build and execute international patent filing strategies for clients across multiple jurisdictions
• Prepare opinion work on patentability, freedom-to-operate, and invalidity questions
• Counsel clients on intellectual property strategies and protection
• Independently manage matters while collaborating with senior team members

What they're looking for:

• Minimum 5 years of active patent prosecution experience, especially in software
• Bar membership and USPTO registration in good standing
• Technical degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or comparable field
• Excellent written communication and sound judgment under pressure
• Self-directed approach balanced with collaborative team participation
• Salary range: $275,000-$325,000 annually based on qualifications
