Senior Associate, Washington, D.C. · Vault Top Tier Firm

A top-tier firm with a prominent government contracts and national security practice seeks a senior associate for its Washington, D.C. office. The role focuses on transactional and regulatory counseling for government contractors, with emphasis on facility clearances, compliance, and prime contract negotiation.

The work:

• Advise on DCSA facility security clearances and Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) analyses
• Counsel on small business programs, SBIR/STTR awards, and rights in technical data, software, and subject inventions
• Negotiate prime contracts, subcontracts, and teaming agreements
• Support M&A and structured investment transactions for government contractors
• Advise on cybersecurity compliance, including CMMC requirements and regulatory frameworks

What they're looking for:

• 5+ years of government contracts practice with meaningful transactional and counseling experience
• Strong capability to manage multiple short-deadline assignments while producing high-quality work
• Excellent writing skills and strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school
• Thorough knowledge of government contracts regulations and compliance requirements

Compensation: $365,000+, depending on experience and qualifications. Full benefits package includes health insurance, parental leave, and flexible time off.
