A mid-level associate role in a market-leading government contracts and national security team. The practice handles complex, high-stakes work including litigation over federal contract awards, negotiation of innovative government agreements, and advisory work on federal compliance and enforcement matters.

The work:

• Litigation and investigation of federal contract disputes for aerospace and defense clients
• Counseling clients on compliance with federal grant programs
• Export control and international trade matters
• Mergers and acquisitions involving government contractors, including due diligence and regulatory clearances
• Advising on federal enforcement actions and controversies with government agencies
• Negotiating novel government agreements and arrangements

What they're looking for:

• Minimum 3 years of legal experience in government contracts or related practice areas
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and within team settings
• Excellent academic credentials and references
• Licensed or eligible to practice in Washington, D.C.
• Preferred: prior judicial clerkship or academic background in government contracts law
• Candidates with transactional experience especially encouraged

Compensation: $260,000–$365,000, commensurate with experience. Hours-based bonus eligible.
