Private Client Services Associate, New York · AmLaw 100 Firm
An AmLaw 100 firm with a private client services practice seeks an associate with four or more years of experience in wealth management and trusts and estates law. This role involves advising high-net-worth individuals and their families on complex estate planning and tax matters. New York bar admission required.
The work:
- Counsel high-net-worth individuals and family entities on estate planning, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax matters, and income tax strategies.
- Draft prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
- Handle estate administration and provide tax controversy advice, including representation before the IRS.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex wealth planning issues.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, clients, and outside counsel.
What they're looking for:
- Four or more years of trusts and estates experience at a major law firm.
- Admitted to practice in New York.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple client matters.
- Limited job transitions since law school graduation.
- Proven track record in wealth management and estates work.
Competitive salary; range $310,000-$420,000.
