Patent Associate, Multiple US Locations · Leading Technology and Patent Firm

Leading intellectual property practice with significant US and international presence seeks patent associates for offices in Denver, Palo Alto, Salt Lake City, and Seattle. The practice serves multinational corporations, Fortune 500 companies, and emerging technology startups with comprehensive patent services.

The work:

• Manage active patent prosecution dockets from application through all examination phases
• Draft patent applications and respond to USPTO office actions
• Counsel clients on patent strategy and file management decisions
• Prepare patentability, invalidity, and freedom-to-practice opinions
• Support litigation and transactional teams as needed
• Option to pursue reduced billable-hours track if preferred

What they're looking for:

• 2 to 4 years of patent prosecution experience
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or related technical field
• Bar admission (or ability to obtain) in Colorado, California, Utah, or Washington
• Strong writing and research capabilities
