Labor & Employment Senior Associate, Sydney · Global Law Firm

A global law firm's labor and employment practice in Sydney seeks a senior associate to work alongside partners on sophisticated employment matters for multinational and local employers.

The work:

• Represent employers in employment disputes including unfair dismissal and discrimination claims
• Advise on workplace restructuring, business transformation, and employment aspects of M&A transactions
• Draft and negotiate employment contracts, executive arrangements, and workplace policies
• Conduct workplace compliance reviews and design strategies for legal compliance
• Litigate employment matters in courts, tribunals, and commissions using dispute resolution techniques
• Develop and deliver training on employment law to internal and external audiences
• Build client relationships and support business development activities

What they're looking for:

• 5 years post-qualification experience in employment and workplace safety law
• Broad experience in both advisory and litigation matters
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian employment law
• Commercial mindset and practical problem-solving approach
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Enthusiasm for further development in a growth practice
