International Trade Associate, Washington, DC · Global Finance Powerhouse

A global finance powerhouse is building its international trade compliance team and seeks mid-level associates with 3-5 years of experience. You'll advise clients on export controls (EAR, ITAR), economic sanctions (OFAC), cross-border investment regulations (CFIUS), and related trade compliance matters. Work closely with experienced practitioners who prioritize hands-on mentoring and client development.

The work:

• Advise on US export controls, sanctions regimes, and cross-border investment restrictions
• Draft regulatory submissions and compliance strategies for international transactions
• Research customs and inbound trade compliance issues
• Partner with clients on FOCI mitigation and transaction screening

What they're looking for:

• 3-5 years of experience in international trade, export controls, or sanctions
• Working knowledge of EAR, ITAR, OFAC regulations and CFIUS procedures
• Strong writing and project management skills
• Self-starter capable of independent work and team collaboration
• Admitted to Washington, DC bar
