Incentives Associate, New York · Magic Circle Firm

A Magic Circle firm's New York office seeks an Incentives Associate to join the Tax, Pensions, Employment & Incentives Group. You'll advise public and private companies on remuneration, incentives, and employment tax globally, with focus on complex compensation policy, incentive design, and the remuneration aspects of corporate governance.

The work:

• Design and implement equity-based compensation arrangements including long-term incentive plans, management incentive plans, and deferred compensation
• Advise on all-employee plans and customized arrangements
• Support remuneration matters in major corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and IPOs
• Counsel on regulatory issues, reputational risks, and disclosure requirements related to compensation
• Handle senior executive hires, exits, and retention agreements

What they're looking for:

• 2 to 5 years of experience with strong public and private M&A background
• Expertise in designing and structuring equity-based compensation
• Knowledge of employment, retention, and separation agreements
• Prior experience at a peer law firm
• Strong interest in the subject matter and collaborative approach
• Admission to (or eligible for) the New York Bar
