Employment Associate, Brisbane · Magic Circle Firm

This role offers the opportunity to handle complex employment law matters within a law firm's consulting division. You'll advise organizations across the full employee lifecycle on regulatory compliance, workplace relations, and strategic employment issues.

The work:

• Advise on Fair Work Act compliance, modern awards, discrimination law, and workplace health and safety obligations
• Manage complex employment disputes and regulatory interactions with government employment agencies
• Counsel on employment policy development and updates reflecting current legal requirements
• Handle employment-related negotiations and matters requiring commercial risk assessment
• Work with multiple stakeholders across organizations on employment-related issues

What they're looking for:

• 6+ years of employment law experience with specialist employee relations background
• Strong knowledge of employment regulation and government employment agencies
• Ability to manage matters autonomously and influence complex situations
• Commercial awareness and risk management capability
• Current working rights in Australia; practicing certificate not essential
• Comfort working independently in a flexible consulting model
