AmLaw Top 50 firm seeking employee benefits and executive compensation associate for Chicago. The role advises multinational corporations and private equity sponsors on compensation and benefits matters in M&A and private equity transactions.

The work:

• Advise on executive compensation arrangements, equity plans, retention packages
• Structure employee benefit aspects of M&A and private equity transactions
• Draft compensation and benefits documentation; prepare transaction analysis
• Counsel on retirement plans, welfare arrangements, executive benefit programs
• Support client calls and transaction management

What they're looking for:

• 3+ years of corporate legal experience, ideally in benefits or executive compensation
• Understanding of M&A and private equity transaction dynamics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative approach; ability to manage multiple matters
• JD from accredited law school; Illinois bar admission

Compensation: $260,000-$390,000 based on experience and market.
