A leading global law firm seeks an experienced attorney for its Compensation and Benefits practice. You will advise clients on retirement plan design and administration, ERISA compliance, health and welfare benefit arrangements, and related regulatory and compliance matters. You will also counsel on benefits issues arising in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

The work:

• Advise on tax-qualified retirement plans and health and welfare benefit arrangements
• Handle ERISA compliance, plan design, plan administration, and regulatory compliance matters
• Draft plan documents and related disclosures
• Conduct compliance testing and manage IRS and Department of Labor filings and audits
• Advise on correction matters and penalty mitigation
• Counsel on benefit plan treatment in mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions
• Work on ESOP transactions and ERISA plan asset matters

What they're looking for:

• 6+ years of experience advising on tax-qualified retirement plans and ERISA compliance
• Experience with plan document drafting, compliance testing, and regulatory filings
• Strong academic credentials and excellent writing and communication skills
