Vault Top 10 firm seeks mid-level associate (3–6 years experience) for data privacy and cybersecurity role. You'll work with clients across financial services, healthcare, life sciences, and technology sectors on regulatory compliance, security incidents, and data protection strategy.
The work:
- Advising clients on compliance with major privacy regulations: GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and other international frameworks
- Developing and reviewing privacy policies, data handling agreements, and security protocols
- Leading data breach investigations and managing incident response procedures
- Assessing security risks and proposing mitigation approaches
- Handling client representation in regulatory inquiries and enforcement matters
- Tracking regulatory changes affecting data privacy and protection
- Coaching junior attorneys on privacy and security practices
What they're looking for:
- 3+ years with hands-on privacy law and cybersecurity experience
- Track record managing data breach investigations
- Deep understanding of GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and emerging regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI tools responsibly, with critical evaluation of use cases and outputs
- Strong legal writing and reasoning
- Comfort juggling multiple matters in a deadline-oriented environment
- Valid bar admission
