Arbitration Associate, London · Global Law Firm
The firm's international arbitration group handles complex cross-border disputes for multinational corporations, financial institutions, investors, and sovereign states across industries including finance, energy, mining, technology, and infrastructure. As a mid-level associate, you'll manage arbitration matters independently and collaboratively across the firm's global offices.
The work:
- Lead evidence-gathering and case development across complex arbitrations
- Draft submissions, witness statements, and procedural correspondence
- Prepare for and support hearings, including opening statements and cross-examinations
- Work with technical experts and quantum specialists
- Manage junior team members and oversee case workstreams
- Advise clients on strategy and risk management
- Conduct legal research and coordinate multi-jurisdictional teams
What they're looking for:
- 2-4 years of arbitration experience at a major commercial law firm
- Qualification in English law (additional jurisdictions a plus)
- Strong academic credentials and intellectual curiosity
- Commercial awareness and ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Interest in business development and professional growth
