Toxic Tort Litigation Associate, Edwardsville, IL & St. Louis, MO · Large Defense Firm

Large defense firm with multiple offices is hiring a litigation associate to work on toxic tort and products liability cases. This role offers substantial client interaction, discovery work, and trial preparation in a demanding litigation environment.

The work:

• Manage toxic tort and products liability caseloads from filing through resolution
• Conduct legal research and analysis on environmental and product-related claims
• Take and defend depositions across multiple jurisdictions
• Prepare for and appear at court hearings
• Assist with client relationship development and business development

What they're looking for:

• Licensed in Illinois (Missouri licensure a plus)
• 2+ years of litigation experience, ideally with toxic tort or products liability exposure
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical capabilities
• Ability to independently manage case files and meet deadlines
• Deposition experience required

Compensation starts at $105,000–$130,000 annually with performance bonuses, structured annual raises, and year-end recognition for pro bono work and professional development.
