Technology Transactions Associate, San Francisco · Vault Top 15 Firm

Vault top 15 technology law firm seeking a mid-level associate to lead technology transactions and intellectual property licensing work. You'll have 3-6 years post-JD experience navigating licensing, software development, manufacturing, and e-commerce agreements, plus supporting M&A and equity financing transactions in the technology space.

The work:

• Draft and negotiate software licenses, technology development agreements, and professional services contracts
• Handle IP licensing across emerging tech domains: AI, blockchain, fintech, cloud, semiconductors, AR/VR, and media technology
• Support M&A and equity financing transactions, including due diligence of IP assets and contractual obligations
• Manage technology-focused supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution agreements
• Coordinate complex licensing and transaction workflows across multiple stakeholders

What they're looking for:

• 3-6 years post-JD with demonstrated IP law knowledge and technology transaction experience
• Skilled drafter and negotiator across diverse technology and IP licensing scenarios
• Effective communicator able to explain complex technical and legal issues clearly
• Member of California bar or other US state bar
• Strong work ethic and collaborative team approach

Compensation: $260,000 to $365,000 annually (2026 range).
