A leading global law firm seeks an experienced technology lawyer to join its financial services legal group in Melbourne for a 6-month full-time role (hybrid). You'll support the firm's work with financial institutions on technology-related legal matters, digital transformation, and regulatory compliance.

The work:

• Advise on digital operational resilience standards and regulatory uplift initiatives
• Support technology, enterprise, and digital legal matters for financial services clients
• Draft and review technology-related business agreements and infrastructure contracts
• Provide guidance on banking regulatory standards and compliance frameworks
• Manage matters independently with senior stakeholder engagement

What they're looking for:

• 5+ years' experience as a qualified technology lawyer
• Demonstrated background in financial services law
• Knowledge of digital operational resilience frameworks and banking regulatory standards
• Strong technical legal drafting and commercial judgment
• Current practising certificate and Australian work authorization
• Ability to prioritize effectively and work autonomously
