Structured Finance & Derivatives Associate, Chicago & New York · Vault Top 20 Firm

A Vault Top 20 firm is seeking mid to senior associates for its Structured Finance & Derivatives practice in Chicago and New York. The group combines expertise in complex financial products, asset securitization, and related disciplines: tax, bankruptcy, securities, real estate, and financial institutions regulation. Associates gain meaningful client contact and significant responsibility within lean, collaborative teams.

The work:

• Structure derivatives and structured product transactions
• Execute asset securitization matters across various asset classes
• Draft and negotiate transaction documentation
• Support cross-disciplinary work with tax, bankruptcy, and securities specialists
• Partner directly with clients and senior attorneys on significant transactions

What they're looking for:

• Mid-level associates (JD 2021-2023) or senior associates (JD 2020+)
• Minimum three years of hands-on structured finance experience
• Strong background in derivatives, structured products, or securitization
• Licensed in or eligible to practice in Chicago or New York
• Commitment to developing deep expertise in structured finance

Compensation ranges from $260,000 to $390,000 based on seniority, with opportunities for hours-based bonus.
