Structured Finance Associate, New York City and Charlotte · Vault Top 10 Firm

A Vault Top 10 firm's Structured Finance practice seeks an associate with solid securitization experience to manage complex CMBS transactions. The position is based in Charlotte with connection to offices in New York and Washington, DC.

The work:

• Prepare and negotiate transaction documents for commercial mortgage-backed securitizations, including pooling and servicing agreements, offering documents, and loan purchase agreements
• Oversee closing mechanics for complex structured finance transactions
• Draft and review a full suite of transaction documents including placement, purchase, and servicing agreements
• Provide legal documentation and opinions supporting securitization closings

What they're looking for:

• 3 to 6 years of law firm experience with CMBS or structured real estate lending
• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating financial transaction documents
• Careful attention to detail with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Track record of managing large transactions independently
• Strong academic credentials
• Compensation: $260,000–$390,000 base, plus annual and discretionary bonuses, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off), and relocation assistance
