Structured Finance Associate, District of Columbia, New York City and Charlotte · Vault Top 10 Firm

A Vault Top 10 firm's finance team seeks an associate with 2 to 6+ years of law firm experience in structured finance or bank lending. Candidates may work from offices in New York, Washington DC, or Charlotte. The role encompasses CLOs, asset-backed securities, securitizations, and general bank lending with room to develop specialized expertise.

The work:

• Execute complex transaction documentation for structured finance products including CLOs, asset-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and securitizations
• Support bank lending transactions including syndicated loans and asset-backed lending structures
• Prepare and negotiate transaction documents, legal opinions, and closing packages
• Manage closing processes across multiple concurrent transactions

What they're looking for:

• 2 to 6+ years of law firm experience with at least one of: private securities offerings, securitizations, bank lending, asset-backed lending, or structured lending
• CLO, ABS, or CMBS experience is a plus
• Strong academic record
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet tight deadlines
• Collaborative approach to teamwork and client work
• Compensation: $235,000–$390,000 base, plus annual and discretionary bonuses, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off), and relocation assistance
