Strategic Transactions and Licensing Associate, New York · Premier Venture Capital and Emerging Companies Firm

This role is with a premier venture capital and emerging companies practice based in New York. You'll work with venture-backed startups and VC investors across technology, life sciences, AI, financial services, and consumer products, supporting them through formation, fundraising, partnerships, and strategic acquisitions.

The work:

• Negotiate and draft commercial licensing agreements and partnership terms
• Offer strategic advice on intellectual property protection, data privacy, and business operations
• Support companies through venture fundraising rounds and corporate transactions
• Manage multiple transactions concurrently across different stages of company growth

What they're looking for:

• 3-4 years of law firm experience
• Expertise in commercial contract drafting and negotiation, or venture financing and M&A transactions
• JD from a top law school with strong academics
• Genuine interest in emerging technology and startup ecosystems
• New York bar admission
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities

Compensation: $260,000-$310,000.
