Magic Circle firm seeking senior associate for mergers and acquisitions practice in New York. Lead counsel role on substantial transactions with major corporate and financial sponsor clients.

The work:

• advising on public and private M&A, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings
• negotiating and drafting transaction documentation including purchase agreements, merger agreements, and shareholder agreements
• leading due diligence reviews and managing closing processes
• handling SEC compliance and regulatory filings for public company transactions
• building and maintaining relationships with corporate and financial sponsor clients
• supervising and mentoring junior staff on complex matters
• cross-border transactions

What they're looking for:

• 4+ years of corporate law experience in M&A
• J.D. or equivalent
• admitted to practice in New York
• proven ability to lead substantial transactions
• strong client management and business development skills
