Restructuring Associate, Charlotte; Portland; Seattle · Global Finance Powerhouse

A leading global firm with substantial restructuring and insolvency capabilities is hiring mid-level associates for its Charlotte, Portland, and Seattle offices. This is an opportunity to work on complex Chapter 11 filings, out-of-court restructurings, and related disputes alongside experienced practitioners who actively mentor associates into positions of greater responsibility.

The work:

• Advise debtors, creditors, and other stakeholders in Chapter 11 proceedings
• Handle state law insolvency matters and consensual restructurings
• Pursue avoidable transfer claims and manage asset sale processes
• Prepare motions, disclosure statements, and bankruptcy pleadings
• Manage substantial client contact with experienced counsel oversight

What they're looking for:

• Three to five years of bankruptcy experience through judicial clerkship or law practice
• Background representing either debtors or creditors in Chapter 11 matters
• Familiarity with avoidable transfer disputes and asset sales
• Strong writing, communication, and research capabilities
• Self-directed approach with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• California bar admission preferred; not required
