Mid-level real estate finance associate at a leading real estate firm. Focus on representing lenders in complex finance transactions for affordable housing and community development projects. Work includes construction and permanent loans, tax credit financings, tax-exempt bond financing, and public-private partnerships. You'll handle due diligence on title, survey, and organizational matters; draft and negotiate loan documents; and coordinate among lenders, developers, public agencies, and other stakeholders. The role also covers broader commercial real estate, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and leasing transactions. You'll collaborate with partners, other attorneys, and staff across multiple offices.

The work:

  • Represent lenders in complex real estate finance transactions for development projects
  • Structure and document construction and permanent loan arrangements
  • Manage tax credit and tax-exempt bond financing for community development
  • Conduct due diligence on title, survey, and organizational matters
  • Draft and negotiate loan documents and transaction agreements
  • Coordinate among lenders, developers, investors, and government agencies
  • Support acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and leasing matters

What they're looking for:

  • JD from accredited law school
  • Washington State bar admission
  • 2+ years of real estate transactional experience
  • Background representing lenders, borrowers, or developers in commercial finance
  • Experience or interest in affordable housing, tax credits, or development finance
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and work collaboratively
