A Magic Circle law firm's New York real estate practice is expanding its team. The role covers complex commercial real estate transactions across multiple deal types: joint ventures, acquisitions, leasing, structured finance, and REIT matters. You'll manage deals from strategy through closing, with responsibility for supervising junior staff as deals progress.

The work:

• Counsel clients on large, multi-party real estate transactions and financing structures
• Manage deal teams through negotiation, documentation, and closing
• Handle joint venture agreements, acquisition and sale transactions, REIT structures, and leasing matters
• Oversee junior attorney contributions to deal work
• Develop specialized real estate transaction expertise

What they're looking for:

• Minimum 3 years of law firm real estate practice
• Substantive deal experience in complex transactions
• Background in joint ventures, acquisitions, REITs, or leasing preferred
• Strong legal drafting and client communication
• J.D. from accredited law school with strong academics
• Collaborative and entrepreneurial approach to client matters
