Real Estate Associate, New York · Full-Service Law Firm

Full-service firm seeks an associate or counsel for its New York real estate practice. You'll handle sophisticated commercial real estate transactions for institutional and entrepreneurial clients, covering acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and complex financings.

The work:

• Handle acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate
• Negotiate and structure joint venture and partnership arrangements
• Manage real estate financings and loan documentation
• Draft and review purchase agreements, lease documents, and related transaction agreements
• Conduct due diligence on titles, zoning, land use issues, and existing contracts
• Oversee transaction closings and coordinate post-closing matters
• Take substantial responsibility for multiple transaction workstreams

What they're looking for:

• 3+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience
• Experience representing developers, owners, investors, lenders, or borrowers
• Proven ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Comfortable interacting directly with partners and clients
• JD required
