A Magic Circle firm seeks an experienced property and general commercial lawyer for a 4-6 month flexible engagement (hybrid, Brisbane) supporting in-house legal work for a water sector organization.

The work:

• Provide property law advice on easements, leases, and related matters
• Handle day-to-day general commercial queries and issues
• Deliver practical legal advice in a fast-moving environment
• Support property-related transactions and documentation
• Work across range of matters requiring sound business judgment

What they're looking for:

• 5+ years in general commercial law with property focus
• Expertise in property law including leases, easements, and related matters
• Ability to work independently without extensive ramp-up
• Practical, business-oriented approach to legal problem-solving
• Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs
• Current Australian practising certificate and unrestricted right to work in Australia
