Private Equity Associate, New York · Vault Top 10 Firm

A leading Vault Top 10 global firm seeks a private equity associate with three to six years of transactional experience. You'll work across the full spectrum of portfolio company transactions, from acquisitions and leveraged recapitalizations to growth equity investments and exits. You'll handle significant components of transactions independently while building client relationships and collaborating with partners and senior counsel.

The work:

• Source, structure, and close mergers and acquisitions
• Manage leveraged recapitalization and growth equity investments
• Handle exit transactions and equity compensation planning
• Draft, negotiate, and review transaction documents
• Manage relationships with internal teams and outside counsel

What they're looking for:

• Three to six years of law firm experience in corporate and transactional matters
• Ability to manage transaction components independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Business sense and proactive approach to problem-solving
• Outstanding academic credentials
