Privacy and Cybersecurity Associate, Multiple US Locations · Vault Top 10 Firm

This top-tier technology and life sciences law firm is expanding its Privacy and Cybersecurity practice and seeking a mid-level associate to counsel clients on privacy law in transactional contexts.

The work:

• Advise on privacy compliance in mergers and acquisitions, technology transactions, capital markets deals, and commercial contracts
• Counsel on federal privacy laws (TCPA, GLBA, FCRA, CAN-SPAM, COPPA), state privacy laws (CCPA), and international privacy regimes (GDPR)
• Draft and negotiate privacy policies, data processing agreements, and privacy-related contracts
• Support data breach response and regulatory defense matters
• Provide guidance on privacy and security aspects of AI deployments

What they're looking for:

• Two to four years of transactional law experience, ideally in privacy or technology
• Solid grounding in federal, state, and international privacy frameworks and data flows
• Demonstrated ability to counsel clients on privacy issues in transactional work
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Bar admission or eligibility in your jurisdiction of practice
• AI counseling experience is a plus

Compensation: $235,000-$310,000.
