Pharmaceutical Patent Litigation Associate, Multiple US Locations · Magic Circle Firm

A Magic Circle firm seeks a mid-level associate for its life sciences patent litigation team across five US offices. The role focuses on sophisticated patent disputes in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors, with client interaction and expert witness coordination.

The work:

• Litigate complex patent matters in federal court and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB)
• Prepare legal documents and strategy on patent disputes
• Take and defend depositions with technical and expert witnesses
• Manage litigation from discovery through trial
• Work directly with innovative pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies

What they're looking for:

• 3+ years of complex patent litigation experience in life sciences, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals
• Undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field
• Registration or eligibility for U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) registration
• Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills
• Demonstrated experience managing complex litigation and working with technical experts
• Bar admission in a US jurisdiction
