Patent Prosecution Associate, Multiple US Locations · Technology IP Firm

A technology intellectual property firm seeks a patent prosecution agent or associate with three or more years of patent preparation and prosecution experience. Your technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field will focus your work on sophisticated technologies including graphics processing units, tensor processing units, accelerators, neural engines, and robotics systems.

The work:

• Draft and file patent applications in electrical engineering and software technologies
• Prosecute patent applications through USPTO examination and appeals
• Counsel clients on patentability and prosecution strategy
• Manage patent prosecution timelines and coordinate with engineering teams

What they're looking for:

• Minimum three years of patent preparation and prosecution experience
• Undergraduate or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, physics, or mathematics
• USPTO admission required; JD and state bar admission required for associate candidates
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Salary range $140,000–$260,000 based on experience
