Patent Litigation Associate, New York and San Francisco · AmLaw 100 Firm
Top-tier AmLaw firm's intellectual property practice seeks patent litigation associate. The work spans the full range of patent and IP disputes, with focus on technology-based matters. Computer science or electrical engineering expertise is essential. You'll participate in all litigation phases: strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. The practice represents clients across multiple industries in complex IP disputes.
The work:
- Conduct patent and IP litigation matters
- Analyze technical aspects of technology-based disputes
- Manage discovery and develop case strategy
- Draft litigation motions and briefs
- Prepare for trial and support proceedings
What they're looking for:
- 4–7 years of patent litigation experience
- Admission to California or New York bar (depending on location)
- Technical background in computer science or electrical engineering
- USPTO admission preferred
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Substantive litigation experience
Compensation: $310,000–$420,000 (varies by experience and location)
