Mid-Level Consumer Finance Associate, Multiple US Locations · Leading Financial Services Firm

This national law firm seeks an accomplished mid-level associate to join its financial regulatory and compliance practice. The firm maintains an extensive financial services practice across multiple US offices and internationally.

The work:

• Handling compliance and regulatory matters for consumer finance, mortgage, and fintech clients
• Researching and advising on state regulatory licensing requirements
• Supporting product development for alternative lending arrangements and payment systems
• Analyzing transactions against key consumer finance statutes including TILA, RESPA, UDAAP, HMDA, FCRA, and FDCPA
• Managing bank and lending partner compliance relationships
• Conducting legal research and drafting analysis on regulatory issues

What they're looking for:

• 3 to 5 years of financial services regulatory compliance experience
• Established knowledge of state regulatory licensing frameworks
• Background in mortgage lending, consumer finance, or fintech regulatory environments
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing abilities
• Admission or eligibility to practice in relevant jurisdiction
• Spanish language skills preferred
• Attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities
