M&A Associate, San Francisco · AmLaw 100 Firm

This AmLaw 100 firm's San Francisco Bay Area office is seeking an associate to join its M&A practice. You'll work on mergers and acquisitions for both private and public companies, with exposure to capital markets transactions including public offerings and SEC reporting. Growth equity and corporate venture capital matters may also be part of your role.

The work:

• Execute due diligence and prepare transaction documentation for M&A deals
• Draft contracts, memoranda, and deal correspondence
• Manage transaction timelines from inception through closing
• Conduct legal research on transactional issues and corporate law
• Interact with clients on deal strategy and progress

What they're looking for:

• 1-3 years of corporate law experience in an AmLaw firm
• Strong legal writing and research capabilities
• Ability to handle multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Admitted to practice in California
