A firm with a market-leading Japan practice is hiring a mid-level litigation associate in Tokyo. The seat covers cross-border disputes and investigations involving Japanese and international parties, spanning commercial litigation, regulatory matters, and internal investigations.

The work:

• Handle cross-border commercial disputes and arbitration involving Japanese businesses.
• Support internal and regulatory investigations, including document review and interviews.
• Draft submissions, witness materials, and client advice across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with local counsel and manage evidence across common law and Japanese procedures.

What they're looking for:

• Mid-level disputes experience from a recognised firm.
• Japanese language ability, or strong cultural fluency in a Japanese business setting.
