Litigation Associate, Multiple California Locations · Nationally Recognized Litigation Firm

A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking mid-level Associates with defense litigation background to join its General Liability or Toxic Tort practice groups across California locations. You'll manage sophisticated litigation matters independently, with responsibility for depositions, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation on cases ranging from general liability to complex toxic tort and product liability.

The work:

• Manage litigation caseloads independently across local and national matters
• Conduct and prepare witnesses for depositions
• Analyze, draft, and respond to discovery requests
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs with focus on motion practice
• Support trial preparation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations
• Maintain client communication and accurate time records

What they're looking for:

• Minimum 2+ years of defense litigation experience
• California bar admission
• Background in general liability, product liability, toxic tort, or environmental liability preferred
• Strong motion practice and deposition experience; preference for leading plaintiff and expert depositions
• Superior research and writing skills with ability to analyze complex matters
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
