A top 20 firm seeks a litigation associate for its consumer finance defense team in Los Angeles. The role focuses on defending lending and credit companies against consumer finance claims in state and federal courts and arbitration forums.

The work:

• Defend clients in credit card, mortgage, and auto finance litigation
• Litigate claims under federal consumer statutes: FCRA, FDCPA, TILA, TCPA
• Handle state consumer protection claims and common law disputes
• Manage consumer class action defense matters
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings and motions

What they're looking for:

• 3 or more years of consumer finance defense experience
• Knowledge of credit and lending law
• California bar admission
• Strong research and writing skills
• Ability to work in-office at least 3 days weekly
• Client service orientation
