Litigation & Arbitration Associate, New York & Washington D.C. · Magic Circle Firm

A Magic Circle law firm's Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations team in New York or Washington D.C. seeks a mid-level associate. You'll work on complex commercial disputes, from initial assessment through trial, arbitration, and settlement. The team advises multinational corporations and institutions on substantial matters.

The work:

• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests in complex commercial cases
• Manage large-scale document production and discovery
• Take and defend depositions in commercial disputes
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Support case strategy development and client counseling
• Assist with trial preparation and proceedings
• Handle arbitration work as needed

What they're looking for:

• Law school class of 2022-2024 (2-4 years post-graduation)
• U.S. J.D. and admission to New York State Bar or D.C. Bar required
• Significant experience with complex commercial litigation including pleadings, discovery, and depositions
• Federal clerkship experience preferred
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills
• Team-oriented and proactive
• Ability to manage multiple matters
