Life Sciences Licensing Associate, New York / Boston / DC · Leading Life Sciences Firm

A leading life sciences practice is hiring a mid-level associate for licensing and technology transactions work, based in New York, Boston, or DC. The role centers on deals where biotech and pharma IP changes hands. Fluent Mandarin is required.

The work:

• Draft and negotiate licensing agreements covering drug candidates, platforms, and other life sciences IP
• Structure collaboration, research, and development deals between pharma, biotech, and academic parties
• Handle technology transfer and IP terms within larger M&A and financing transactions
• Advise on diligence and regulatory points that shape deal terms
• Work with US and China-based counterparties, often in Mandarin

What they're looking for:

• Mid-level associate with life sciences licensing or technology transactions experience
• Fluent Mandarin, written and spoken
• Tech-transactions lawyers looking to move into life sciences will be considered
• Comfort managing complex agreements across scientific and commercial teams
