IP Litigation Associate, San Diego & Dallas · AmLaw 50 Firm

An AmLaw 50 firm with a nationally recognized intellectual property practice is recruiting patent litigation associates for its San Diego or Dallas offices. You'll handle complex patent cases in federal district courts, PTAB proceedings, and ITC disputes for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to innovative startups.

The work:

• Litigate patent infringement cases in federal district court
• Represent clients in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board
• Handle International Trade Commission (ITC) disputes involving intellectual property
• Participate in patent licensing negotiations and strategic counseling
• Manage complex technical discovery and expert coordination

What they're looking for:

• 2-6 years of patent litigation experience
• Science or engineering background (electrical engineering, computer science, physics, etc.) preferred
• Hands-on experience with complex technologies (semiconductors, wireless, software, consumer electronics)
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical AI use in legal practice
• Collaborative problem-solving approach and strong client service orientation
