Insurance Regulatory Associate, Washington, D.C.; New York · Global Finance Powerhouse

This practice serves clients at the convergence of insurance and securities law. The group works with life insurance companies on SEC and regulatory matters involving insurance contracts and retirement products.

The work:

• Advise life insurance companies on SEC compliance and regulatory filings for insurance products
• Support the development, registration, and distribution of variable and index-linked annuities and life insurance policies
• Help clients manage both state insurance oversight and federal securities requirements
• Coordinate with SEC staff, state insurance regulators, and industry groups on compliance

What they're looking for:

• 2-5 years of regulatory experience, whether in law firms, regulatory agencies, or corporate environments
• Ability to manage complex regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions
• Interest in building expertise at the insurance-securities interface
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse teams
• Regulatory, in-house, or agency backgrounds all valued
