Insolvency Associate, Los Angeles · National Restructuring Practice

Associate position working in the restructuring and insolvency practice of a national firm (750+ attorneys, 30+ locations), based in Los Angeles. The practice counsels parties through bankruptcy proceedings at all stages: debtors, lenders, creditor committees, trustees, and purchasers of assets in estate administrations.

The work:

• Manage bankruptcy matters from filing through resolution: Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases
• Represent clients in contested matters and litigated disputes within bankruptcy proceedings
• Advise on creditor position, debtor obligations, and protective strategies
• Draft and negotiate case-related agreements and filings
• Work with stakeholders across the insolvency spectrum

What they're looking for:

• 1-5 years handling bankruptcies, structured workouts, or insolvency matters
• California bar license required
• Strong research, drafting, and analytical capability
• Effective communication with clients and colleagues
• Academic credentials with evidence of strong analytical thinking

Compensation: $190,000 to $212,000 plus annual bonus opportunity (up to $45,000).
