Healthcare Litigation Associate, Portland · AmLaw 100 Firm

An AmLaw 100 firm's Portland office is building its healthcare litigation team and seeking an associate with 2-7 years of litigation experience. The practice defends healthcare providers across a range of specialties.

The work:

• Represent healthcare providers in state and federal litigation and administrative proceedings
• Handle medical malpractice defense across specialties (emergency medicine, surgery, OB, orthopedics, etc.)
• Draft and respond to discovery and pleadings
• Prepare and argue motions, take and defend depositions
• Develop cases from inception through resolution

What they're looking for:

• Admission to practice in Oregon
• 2-7 years of litigation experience
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Experience with healthcare law or demonstrated interest in the field
• Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment
• Comfort with fast-paced, multi-matter management
